Explore two of the most popular places on the island, the Historic Old San Juan, and the spectacular “El Yunque” Rainforest. In the Old City, you will pass by many historical landmarks, such as the Capitol Building, and other displays of the 17th century architecture. You will have a chance to visit the San Cristobal Fortress, the largest fortification built by the Spanish in the New World. Travelling from the Old City, you will pass by New San Juan with panoramic views of the Condado District. You’ll then make your way to visit the only tropical rainforest in the United States National Forest System. This national treasure exhibits jungle-like vegetation, small horsetail waterfalls, and the cool fresh air, all combined to deliver the utmost relaxation. Stop briefly at one of the waterfalls and at the historical “Yokahu” tower to have a panoramic view of this tropical woodland and the unique flora.
Enjoy the experience of this captivating ecosystem before returning to your ship.
