Victoria Moran is the Oprah-featured author of 14 books, including the international bestseller, Creating a Charmed Life, weight loss classics Fit from Within and The Love-Powered Diet, and the iconic Main Street Vegan, as well as her brand new book, Age Like a Yogi: A Heavenly Path to a Dazzling Third Act. Listed among VegNews magazine’s “Top 10 Living Vegetarian Authors,” Victoria was inducted last year into the Vegan Hall of Fame.
She went vegan and left behind food addiction (and 60 surplus pounds) an astouding 42 years ago. More recently, she was lead producer of the 2019 documentary, A Prayer for Compassion, and cofounder with Rev. William Melton and Rev. Sarah Bowen of the Compassion Consortium, an online, interfaith center to meet the spiritual needs of animal advocates.
Victoria is the founder and director of Main Street Vegan Academy, training and certifying Vegan Lifestyle Coaches & Educators since 2012. A registered yoga teacher and longtime student of ayurveda, she speaks around the country about living well at every age. Her lifelong vegan daughter, Adair, is a professional aerialist and stunt performer. Victoria lives in New York City with her husband, William; a chihuahua/Jack Russell mix rescued from hoarding; and a partially sighted pigeon rescued from the streets of Manhattan. Fun facts: Victoria had a $1 press card from a teen magazine and got into her first Beatles’ press conference when she was 14. Three years later, she had a drink with Paul McCartney.
