Family & Lifestyle Medicine
Dr. Scott Harrington is a family and lifestyle medicine physician dedicated to optimal health and wellness. He completed his education at West Point Military Academy and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2003. There he learned holistic osteopathic principles, including the integration of mind, body, and spirit.
Dr. Harrington’s medical career started with service in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, including deployments to Afghanistan where he led medical teams. He served as a flight surgeon and dive medical officer to United States Special Forces soldiers, pilots, and divers.
In 2011, Dr. Harrington adopted a vegan diet and his health dramatically improved. He vowed to share his experience with his patients and started a vegan practice. When his patients switched to a healthy vegan diet, not only did their health improve, but their changes helped to combat the environmental impacts of animal agriculture and end animal suffering.
Dr. Harrington is the founder of Vegan Primary Care (www.VeganPrimaryCare.com), a website where users can engage a vegan doctor as their primary care doctor — all from the comfort of home. This service is now available throughout most of the United States.
Dr. Harrington often speaks at VegFest events and lectures on the practical aspects of switching to a vegan diet. He is a husband and father of two children who enjoys nature hikes and playing guitar.
